Happy Trans Day of Remembering, everyone.


Yes, Nov. 20th is the day where the GLBTQ community take the time out to remember those who were killed merely for trying to live as the gender they preferred. according to one website I saw, something like 200 transpeople were killed between Nov. 20th 2008 and now. that's not including those that weren't confirmed.


Guys, take a small moment to send your thoughts to these people and their families, at least for me. It's a grim reminder that yes, I still run the risk of being murdered simply for existing.

this also is to remember those who commited suicide because the pressure was too much for them to handle, and they couldn't live with being transgendered. I've felt this, the call of suicide when I think I can't handle this godforsaken body of mine. luckily, I haven't caved in yet, but so many of my brothers and sisters have, for various reasons. for some, the disowning their parents give them is too much (felt that lack of love for sure), for others it's just the crazy that your body gives you (know that too much).

It's not a happy holiday, but it's one that's very much needed.
